About us
We are Oahu’s oldest recreational kayak club. Come paddle with us and enjoy the ocean and streams of Oahu. We offer paddles of varying skill levels from beginner to advanced all around the island. If you go on all the club paddles you will circumnavigate Oahu!
To see our full paddle schedule and to learn more about our club go to our website.
We do not provide kayaks or paddling gear for our paddles. You'll need to bring your own kayak or rent one. Renters who are willing to paddle a tandem and are looking for a partner to share the cost can mention that in the event comments. If you own a tandem and have an empty seat that you'd like to fill you can make an invitation in the event comments too.
Ocean conditions can change suddenly. You are responsible for your own safety and you need to be prepared. You should bring a properly fitted personal flotation device (PFD), a cell phone in a waterproof case, a safety whistle and water to keep you hydrated.
Participation in this Meetup group does not make you a club member. Club membership is not required for our events, but if you come to a few of them we strongly encourage you to become a paid member at $30/year. Download our membership form and pay online to join.

Magic Island to Kaimana and Back with lunch in Waikiki
Magic island, 1201 Ala Moana Park Drive, Oahu, HI, USWe play tourist today with a fun cruise across world famous Waikiki Beach. Bring your snorkels as we hope to stop at Turtle Canyon to find out why all the tour boats stop there. Kayak surfers can drop in on the surf breaks along the way. On our return leg, we’ll pull up on the beach in front of the Royal Hawaiian Hotel and have lunch at the beachfront Mai Tai Bar.
We will be getting a discount for lunch, but it requires payment in cash. So, look at their menu and make sure to bring enough kala to cover your order!
You must RSVP by May 28 to be included in the lunch reservation.
This event will be limited to 10 kayakers because of the limited beach space at the Royal Hawaiian. Priority will be given to paid club members.
If you can partner with someone on a tandem for this event it will help to minimize the amount of beach space that we need.
Meet at the Magic Island canoe ramp at 9:30 am. Launch promptly at 10:00 am. Parking can get tight at Magic Island so carpool if you can or make sure you get there early so you don’t have to hunt for a spot. – 5 mi.8 attendees
