About us

## 🌿 Welcome Home

The Inner Peace Project is a conscious community for people interested in self-discovery, meaningful connection, and finding a little more inner peace along the way.
We believe that much of this journey begins within, but we don't necessarily have to walk it alone. 🤝

Our gatherings create space to slow down, connect with ourselves and each other, learn, reflect, and sometimes simply have fun together. You'll find community conversations and support circles, workshops and educational programs, mindfulness practices, movie and game nights, retreats, and other opportunities to connect. 🌱
There is no particular belief system you need to follow to be here. We simply ask that you come with an open mind, respect for others, and a willingness to be part of community.

### 🏡 The Village

Our Meetup gatherings are just one part of what we do. We also have our own online community called The Village, where we stay connected between events, share resources and conversations, and continue this journey together.
It's also where you'll find our current events and programs, including our ongoing Shi(f)t Happens journey.

✨ Come as you are. You don't need to have it all figured out.
We'd simply be glad to have you with us. đź’š

    # We the People: An Open Lecture on A People's History of the United States

Facilitated by John Feliz — Shaman and Certified Consultant for Human Rights, U.S. Institute of Diplomacy and Human Rights (USIDHR)

In this session John will teach Chapter 21 — the bipartisan corporate consensus from Carter through Bush: Reagan’s union-busting, the gutting of social programs, U.S. wars in Central America, the Iran-Contra scandal, the Gulf War, and the growing wealth gap beneath the political theater.
Members are encouraged to complete the corresponding course lessons before attending.

Join the We the People Program

Curious about the program but not sure if you're ready to commit?

You're invited to sit in on one of our live lectures as a guest.
Over the next 13 weeks, we'll be exploring A People's History of the United States by Howard Zinn—a book that challenges us to examine American history through the eyes of ordinary people rather than those who traditionally wrote the history books.

This is not a debate. It is not a political rally.

It is an educational lecture series designed to help us think more critically, ask better questions, and explore history from multiple perspectives.

    ### Guest Attendance

Meetup guests are welcome to attend this session as observers.

As a guest, you'll be able to:

    • Listen to the full lecture live.
    • Submit questions through the Zoom chat.

To preserve the continuity of the course for enrolled participants, guest attendees will remain muted during the discussion portion of the program. Since each session builds upon previous lectures and assigned readings, live discussion is reserved for registered participants who are actively progressing through the curriculum together.
If, after attending, you decide you'd like to become part of the conversation, participate in discussions, and Join the We the People Program, we'd love to welcome you.

Whether you come to observe or decide to join the full journey, we're grateful you're here.
History belongs to all of us. Let's explore it together.

Welcome to the Empowered Empath Workshop

Are you someone who absorbs the emotions and energy of everyone around you? Do you feel deeply moved by the world — its beauty, its pain, its invisible currents — in ways others around you simply don't seem to notice?
You may be an empath. And this session is for you.
    Session 1: Introduction & Self-Care
In this opening 90-minute workshop, we create a warm, intimate reflection space to begin your journey as an empowered empath. Together we will:

    • Explore the empath's story — the gifts, the challenges, and the awakening
    • Understand why self-care is non-negotiable (and never selfish) for empaths
    • Discover the many forms of unapologetic self-care
    • Share and celebrate your personal self-care practices in an interactive show & tell

This is a reflection space — not a debate space. Come as you are. Curiosity is our compass.

Before the session: Bring one or two items you love for self-care — a candle, incense, a crystal, a flower, anything that genuinely restores you. We'll share them together.

    The Program:
This is a continuing series within a program in our private platform, The Village, we ask that you enroll into the course program for a richer, more engaging experience. With content lessons, private journaling reflections and community! Register in the program for free

    Your Facilitator:
    John Feliz — Shaman & Emotional/Intuitive Empath
John brings the rare combination of shamanic wisdom and deep empathic presence to facilitate this experience. His approach is warm, grounded, and deeply honoring of every participant's unique journey.
With intention to hold these workshops monthly on a Wednesday
Zoom link will be revealed after RSVP. Free and open to all but must be enrolled in program to fully engage.

Facilitated by John Feliz — Shaman and Certified Consultant for Human Rights, U.S. Institute of Diplomacy and Human Rights (USIDHR)

In this session John will teach Chapter 22 — the permanent adversarial culture the mainstream press ignored: the nuclear freeze movement, anti–Central America solidarity, environmental organizing, Latino struggles, Columbus quincentennial protests, gay rights activism, and labor’s revival in the 1980s–90s.

Members are encouraged to complete the corresponding course lessons before attending.
