BSides Tampa is a community-driven cybersecurity conference run through the ISC2 Tampa Bay Chapter, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Every part of it is organized by our Krewe. No paid staff. No corporate agenda.
Last year: 2,000+ participants, 50+ sessions across 7 tracks, 5 villages, 12 training courses, CTF competitions, and 140+ Krewe members. It ranks among the top three BSides events worldwide.Where Did BSides Come From?
In 2009, Black Hat Las Vegas rejected quality speakers because they ran out of room. Those speakers held their own conference instead. Today there are 300+ BSides events worldwide, each one independently organized, community-run, and self-governing. Connected by shared values, not a corporate parent. Our Mission
BSides Tampa is for anyone interested in security, whether you've been doing this for 20 years or you're a student figuring out where to start. We learn from each other, share what we know, and keep the cost low so nobody gets priced out. BSides Tampa is operated on a break-even model. Any proceeds go directly back into community programs, accessibility initiatives, and next year's event..2 attendees
