We go to many historical sites or places where tourist don’t know so much. That would deepen your insight into Japanese and Kansai culture.
We do hiking, walking and chatting each other while doing activity!
The event is not limited to the hiking, I want to hold many kinds of even like night picnic, night walking and seeing autumn leaves or Sakura (Cherry blossom)
I want to invite both foreigners and Japanese, so both of you have a chance to improve your language skills and do cultural exchange. If somebody who want to do lot more activities and interact with many people, feel free to join!
【Self-introduction 】
My name is Haruki. I'm now working in aircraft industry and I'm in charge of managng Kansai airport (also Itami and Kobe).
When I was in university student, I used to do Japanese tea ceremony (Matcha) and do a lot of domestic trips. That experience let me share wonderful Japanese culture, hiking with many people from all over the world. Also, I love overseas travel ( so far, been to 11 countries) and want to do cultural exchange! Nice to meet you !
観光客があまり知らないような史跡や場所をたくさん行キス！そうすることで、日本や関西の文化への理解が深まることでしょう。
イベントはハイキングに限らず、ナイトピクニック、ナイトウォーキング、お花見など、さまざまなイベントを開催したいと考えています。

【自己紹介】
はるきと言います！現在は航空業界で働いており、関西空港（伊丹空港と神戸空港も）で航空営業を担当しています！
大学生の頃は、茶道（抹茶）をしたり、国内旅行をたくさんしたりしていました。その経験から、日本文化や日本の風景を世界中の多くの人と共有したい、と思うようになりました！
また、海外旅行が大好きで（今まで11カ国に行きました）、他の国の文化や歴史を知ることにも興味があります！どうぞ、よろしくお願いいたします。

We’re going to see Wakakusa Yamayaki, one of Nara’s most famous winter traditions!
The event starts in the evening, so we’ll meet in Nara around noon.
First, we’ll enjoy a stroll around Nara Park and have lunch in Nara, then we’ll watch the Wakakusa Yamayaki.
Whether you’ve never been or want to go again with a different group, come join us!
💛About Wakakusa Burning(Yamayaki)
- Wakakusa Yamayaki is a traditional event where the grass on the slopes of Mount Wakakusa is set on fire all at once.
- Before the ignition, there are grand fireworks and traditional ceremonies (such as torch lighting and processions) at the foot of the mountain, lighting up Nara’s night sky.

- Massive mountain fire: The entire mountain is engulfed in flames—a breathtaking sight
- Fireworks: Winter night sky lit up before the mountain fire
- Traditional processions and rituals: Ceremonies led by Shinto priests from Kasuga Taisha and Kofukuji Temple

※There will be a waiting time of about 2 hours before the fireworks. Please dress warmly 🧣🧤

今回は、奈良を代表する冬の風物詩 若草山焼き を見に行きます！
イベントは夕方からの開催なので、お昼ごろに奈良へ集合。
まずは 奈良公園周辺の散策 や 奈良でのランチ を楽しみ、その後 若草山焼きの鑑賞 を予定しています。
まだ行ったことがない方も、別のメンバーともう一度行きたい方も、ぜひ一緒に行きませんか？
💛若草山焼きとは
- 若草山の山頂から中腹にかけての草地を一斉に焼き上げる伝統行事です。
- 点火前には、山麓で 大花火の打ち上げ や 伝統儀式（松明点火式・行列など） が行われ、奈良の夜空を彩ります。
✨見どころ✨
- 大規模な山焼き：山全体が炎に包まれる圧巻の光景
- 打ち上げ花火：点火前の冬の夜空を彩る花火ショー
- 伝統行列や神事：春日大社・興福寺の神職や関係者による儀式
- 奈良市内からの絶景：市街地・山麓から迫力ある景観を楽しめ

❄️ Mt. Takami Muhyo Hiking＋♨️｜Limited to 10 People!(10名限定！高見山霧氷ハイキング＋♨️)
榛原駅（南口）バス停, 〒633-0253 奈良県宇陀市榛原萩原, Nara, JP※オーガナイザーは日本語も話せるので、英語喋れなくても大歓迎です！日本語の説明は後ろにございます！
This time, we will go hiking to Mt. Takami, known as the “Matterhorn of Kansai,” to see the beautiful frost-covered trees.
We will use a limited-time frost bus service and follow the route below:
Haibara Station (Start) → Mt. Takami → Takasumi Onsen → Haibara Station (Finish)
Since the bus requires advance reservation, the group is limited to 10 participants.
The organizer will make the bus reservation on behalf of the group, so please be sure to cancel at least 3 days in advance (by February 8) if necessary.
Please note that waterproof hiking boots and light crampons or chain spikes are required.
Here is a recommended link for chain spikes, which can be purchased on Amazon for around 2,000 yen.

❄️What is Muhyo (Rime Ice)- Muhyo is a natural phenomenon that occurs when moisture in the air freezes and attaches to trees and other objects in sub-zero temperatures.
- Mt. Takami is known for its strong winds near the summit, which cause the rime ice to grow thickly and dramatically on the leeward side of the trees.
👉 Recommended for people who:
- Want to see rime ice (Muhyo)
- Are beginners to winter hiking
- Want to enjoy hiking on a mountain with great views

- Course Level: Intermediate (Beginner-friendly for winter hiking)(we will walk at a relaxed pace)

今回は「関西のマッターホルン」と呼ばれる高見山へ、霧氷を見にハイキングに行きます。
期間限定の霧氷バスを利用し、以下のコースを予定しています。
榛原駅（スタート） → 高見山 → たかすみ温泉 → 榛原駅（ゴール）
バスは事前予約制のため、定員は10名とします。
※バスの予約はオーガナイザーがまとめて行います。そのため、****キャンセルは必ず3日前（2月8日まで）****にお願いします。
また、防水の登山靴と軽アイゼンまたはチェーンスパイクが必須です。

❄️霧氷とは- 霧氷とは、空気中の水蒸気が氷点下のなかで気に付着してできる現象です。
- 高見山は山上部は風が強いことが知られており、霧氷が風下に向かってもりもりと育ちます。
