New Year, Learn Tarot
Back by popular demand - this event sells out fast!
Whether you're brand new to tarot or you've got a deck collecting dust, this two-hour, beginner-friendly workshop will help you connect with your cards, trust your instincts, and have fun doing it.
Led by local expert Sara Helena of Isthmus Moonrise Tarot, you'll join a group of curious, thoughtful, and welcoming people as we explore tarot's deep symbolism, practical structure, and intuitive power—without memorization or pressure. Through playful exercises, small group activities, and supportive practice, you'll learn how to read the cards in a way that feels grounded, meaningful, and personal.
This workshop is perfect for anyone who wants to build tarot skills, tap into their inner wisdom, and maybe even learn something surprising about themselves.
In this workshop, you’ll:
Learn the structure and storytelling arc of the tarot deck
Discover the meaning behind the suits, court cards, and major arcana
Practice one card readings for yourself with simple, intuitive methods
Build the confidence to read for others—without needing to be "an expert"
Please bring (or purchase on arrival) a Rider-Waite-Smith tarot deck or a deck closely based on RWS imagery. Also, a Tarot Guidebook is welcomed, but not required. Decks and tarot guidebooks are available for purchase through Lake City Books.
