Leeds LGBTQ+ Angels

Ready to dip your toes into the queer bar scene; at your own pace and with friendly faces? The Angels LGBTQ+ Bar Scene Social is a relaxed, welcoming get‑together designed for anyone keen to meet new people in our community, especially those who are new to LGBTQ+ bars wanting a supportive first experience.

We gather in the main entrance seated area at the venue, and you'll be able to spot the Angels banner in the area. We have the area reserved for this social, so feel free to pull up a seat and get chatting to anyone in the area.

There are lots of regular attendees to help you feel welcome, you just need to break the ice by saying hello! There's also various card games available across the tables, so for those who prefer to participate in an activity while starting conversations with new people.

Who it’s for:

• LGBTQ+ folks of all genders, sexualities, identities, and backgrounds.
• People who are curious about the bar scene but prefer gentle, supported social settings.
• Allies are welcome when attending respectfully and in support of the whole community.

Saturday 18 July | Community Marketplace

Saturday delivers our annual community space, this year running alongside the Freedom Festival party on Lower Briggate.

Our Community Marketplace is a great place to:
- Chat with local LGBTQ+ groups and community organisations
- Enjoy crafting and badge‑making activities in the Age UK Leeds buildings
- Grab tasty food and refreshing drinks from nearby vendors, including our Pay As You Feel café

You’ll find friendly faces, buzzing conversations, and a space to engage, discover, and celebrate community connection alongside the excitement of Pride weekend.

Sunday offers a quieter, gentler Village Fete vibe, designed to complement the hustle and bustle of Leeds Pride itself.

It’s a chance to slow down, take a breather, and enjoy the same welcoming space in a calmer setting — perfect if you’re feeling Pride‑ed out, prefer a relaxed atmosphere, or just want meaningful connection without the crowds.

Expect the same activities and support as Saturday, but with more room to pause, reflect, and enjoy Pride at your own pace.
