Welcome to Regional Spotlight: Geelong — a bold, grassroots celebration of queer community, connection, and creativity in regional Victoria. This is more than an event — it's the beginning of a movement.

Led by LGBTQIAPN+ volunteers and proudly presented by Euphoria Social, Regional Spotlight: Geelong is the pilot launch of a statewide series creating safe, inclusive, and affirming spaces for queer folks living outside the metro bubble.

Join us for a vibrant event and peer-led connection — designed by and for the community. The event will showcase local queer artists and meaningful partnerships with Geelong-based venues, health providers, and businesses. Whether you’re here to dance, connect, perform, or simply be in joyful community — this is for you.

This celebration invites everyone across the LGBTQIAPN+ spectrum (and our allies) to come as they are. We believe queer joy should never be postcode-dependent — and that rural and regional voices deserve to be seen, heard, and celebrated.

With dating apps linked to stress, anxiety, poor body image, and low self-esteem, it's no wonder more and more people are looking to make connections in the real world - that's where we come in!

If you're a lesbian looking to meet some new people, whether it's for romantic or social connections, this could be the opportunity you're looking for. This is for lesbian women of all ages (18+).

The event will be organised by a mental health professional, and aims to provide a safe place for everyone; discrimination, harassment, abuse and consent violations will not be tolerated.

Your host, Jenny, is very eager to help you connect in a structured but relaxed setting. This is our first event just for women, so please show your support!

How It Works
- Two experienced hosts will provide structure, and will be available for queries throughout the event
- Attendees are divided into two groups and cycle through 10 minute dates at random
- Some short breaks are provided in between batches of dates to give people the chance to mingle and reset
- We don't do scorecards; attendees are encouraged to create their own opportunities
- A list of prompt questions will be available to keep the conversation flowing

Please join us for some crafting and socialising at the Ivanhoe Library & Cultural Hub, in the Clara Southern meeting room.

Your host, Ben, is a mental health professional & experienced group facilitator who's passionate about bringing people together to socialise and make new friends.

Bring your own materials for a project that isn't too messy; i.e. no paint - we need to keep the floor and table clean and free of stains.

If you're more of a socialite and less of a crafter, please feel free to join us anyway; some great options include a writing project, or a colouring book and some pencils.

Please note: this is an alcohol free event. LGBT+ Social Hub Melbourne aims to provide a safe place for everyone. We ask that you be respectful to all attendees; harassment and discrimination will not be tolerated.

The venue capacity is 20 people, so tickets are limited; your $5 ticket contributes to venue hire and growing our community.
