Home of Mid-Week Crisis and Sunday Drinks - we're a group of friends organizing events where the only goals are to hang out, have good conversations, and make friends!
Our group and events are open to anyone, but our ambition is to be a place for immigrants who are committed to Amsterdam for the long-term, and locals who want to meet new people. When we first moved to Amsterdam, we were looking for smaller, more intimate meetups with more regulars, and decided to create our own group for exactly that.
We aim to create a close-knit and welcoming environment where you feel at home immediately, and are always looking forward to the next event - and would love your feedback if that was not the case!
We have a zero tolerance policy for sexism, racism, homophobia, harassment or creepy/inappropriate behavior at our events. Our meetups are NOT singles/dating events, do not assume other attendees are here for this reason. If you notice any behavior at our events that make you or anyone else uncomfortable, please do not hesitate to reach out to the organizers - the sooner we hear about it, the better we're able to take action.

It's time to go back to a lovely bar in the center that opened last year: CAFÉ BLAZER! The location is just 5 minutes on foot from Centraal Station and it looks amazing! It offers good (and reasonably priced) drinks and snacks, but you can also get a proper dinner if you want.
The event is the same as usual: just walk in, get a drink, meet fellow expats and make new international friends! We have the whole bar just for us.

WHO ARE WE
We're a group of locals and immigrants/expats intending to stay in Amsterdam long-term. We keep the number of attendees low to create a more intimate atmosphere.
We aim to create a small, close-knit, and welcoming environment where it's easy to make friends / good conversation, and you're always looking forward to the next event. As such, we do not tolerate any sexism, racism, homophobia, harassment or creepy/inappropriate behavior at our events.
RSVP POLICY
Please only RSVP if you are sure you can come. If you have signed up for the event but can't make it, please set yourself to "Not Going" by editing your RSVP. If you are listed as Going and then don't show multiple times, you may be removed from the group.
If the event is already at full capacity, you will be put on the waitlist. You may be picked from the waitlist if more spots open up, so keep an eye on your Meetup notifications.
Please remember that the waitlist exists for a reason. If you're on the waitlist, please don't show up unannounced. Thank you!

The Fox & Deer Hunt (With Pancakes After)
Ingang Oase in Vogelenzang, Amsterdamse Waterleidingduinen, 1e Leijweg 2, 2114 BH Vogelenzang, Netherlands, Vogelenzang, NH, NLWe’re dragging ourselves out of bed early to catch the coastal dunes at their absolute best. Arriving before 10 AM is the golden window to spot wild foxes while they’re actually active, and before the rest of the world wakes up and scares them off.
Last time we made the trip on two wheels, but to give us way more time to actually explore, we’re taking public transport this time. (If you’re a die-hard cyclist, feel free to bike there, just make sure your legs get you to the entrance on time!)
The Game Plan:- Rain check: If it looks like sideways rain all day, we’ll reschedule to dodge the downpour.
- The Fox Strategy: Foxes don't wait for brunch. Eat breakfast before you leave or pack some quick snacks to eat on the way, because we are hitting the trails immediately to catch them doing their morning rounds.
- The Walk: A casual morning stroll through mixed pine forest, open sand dunes, and quiet canals.
- The True Reward: Once we've done our nature duties, we are hitting the pancake house right next to the entrance.
Logistics:
- Meeting Point: Ingang Oase in Vogelenzang (Visitor Center side).
- Transportation: I'll be taking Intercity 2223 Delft Campus at 9:11 from Sloterdijk (https://maps.app.goo.gl/oBuk1QVpYSZUowYTA)
- Park Ticket: An entry ticket (€1.50) is required. There's a QR at the entrance.
- What to Bring: Waterproof or sturdy shoes (autumn ground is ~0% dry), warm layers, and your pancake appetite.
Set an aggressive alarm, grab a warm coat, and let's go spot some wildlife.
