What we’re about
Welcome to the Loveland Mountain Club MEMBERS ONLY Meetup group. We are a well established club that was started over 47 years ago by Jim Disney, in beautiful Loveland, Colorado. We host at least 3 hikes/week, ranging from easy urban strolls to strenuous mountain hikes. We also host some paved trail bike rides and some flat-water kayak or paddleboard paddles. We also offer an occasional backpack trip or overnight hiking trips. We are a volunteer led and managed club; there are about 175 people in our club.
If you are a member of the Loveland Mountain Club, this is where you can sign up for events!
If you are not a member of the club, please visit www.lovelandmountainclub.org and check out our website. Membership applications can be found under the Members tab.

See all- Chasm Lake Hike (B)Needs location
- Hike description: This challenging 8.5-mile round trip hike starts at the Long's peak trailhead at 9405 ft. We'll gain approx. 2500 ft in elevation during this easy to moderate paced hike, attaining 11,823 ft. There generally is a small snowfield crossing above Peacock pool and a vertical rock scramble the last couple of hundred feet. But the payoff of the views of the diamond face of Long's peak and the crystal-clear waters of Chasm Lake are worth it. Anticipate an early start as most of this hike will be in the alpine, above tree line.
