Not only will we go through life drawing with our pirate costumed model, but you'll also gain an introduction to the history and process of rum with our experienced spirits educator, Tom! In this 2.5-hour session, you will learn the fundamentals of anatomy and drawing under the guidance of an illustrator with over 15 years of experience, as well as a night of rum tasting with the host of Sydney Rum Fair 2024 + 2025. **In this class, you will:** * Be guided through a pirate-themed life drawing class with a costumed model * Learn figure drawing techniques * Gain an understanding of human anatomy and how it interacts with a variety of materials * Learn about the process and history of rum distilling * Learn how to effectively pose characters to convey meaning and story **What to bring:** * Your preferred paper and drawing materials, but basic materials are available if needed. * Your awesome self. ADVANCED 3.5+ PLAYERS - INDOOR PICKLEBALL Saturday Mornings 8:00 - 11:00am. Booking via Meetup is essential. All players must be members of PCYC. READ THE INFORMATION BELOW CAREFULLY PRIOR TO SIGN UP Welcome to PCYC Hornsby advanced pickleball! To play in this group you will: 1. Have a current Pickleball Brackets rating of 3.5+ or equivalent skill level accepted by the organisers of this session – contact Matt before you book if your rating is below 3.5, or if you don’t have a rating in Pickleball Brackets; AND 2. Regularly play tournaments entering in 3.5+ events Please direct all questions related to this group to Matt - 0418 203 596. Making a booking does not guarantee you will play. The organisers make decisions on who will play each week based on the criteria stated above and the playing standard of each player. Selections will be finalised by 6pm Friday, for Saturday play. Check meetup on Friday evening to confirm that you are playing. Our sessions are highly organised, competitive but friendly using a round robin format. We usually play 8 games up to 11 points. Our players make generous line calls, support their partners and respect their opponents. We discourage unsolicited coaching and criticisms of how other people play. In summary, we are all very nice! Please be on time and let us know if you cannot play for the full session. If you book in to play then withdraw, please do this by noon on Friday latest to allow organisers to arrange for others to play. Players who cancel after noon on Friday, or do not cancel and do not turn up, may have their future bookings deleted. COST: Please ensure you have PCYC Membership ($30 annual membership fee) Pay $12 at the reception desk on arrival, and a $1 coin each week towards balls.
