About us
Malmö House Music Collective is an open community for house music people in Malmö.
The idea is simple. There are plenty of people in this city making house, mixing house, and digging for house, and most of them are doing it alone in a bedroom. This is a place to do it in the same room as other people.
Who it's for: producers at any level, DJs, people who want to learn, and people who just want to sit with good music and good company. No audition, no portfolio, no cover charge.
How it works: we run regular sessions in Malmö, free to attend. Gear is pooled, so whatever you bring adds to the room. If you bring nothing, that's fine too. Some sessions are hands-on production, some are listening and talking, and the shape depends on who turns up.

Come to listen, produce, and meet others who are into the same sound.
Malmö House Music Collective is a new community for anyone here who's into house, from producers and DJs to people who just love listening. House Lab is where we get together in person.
The night centres on Ableton and the craft behind building a house track, digging into how a track actually comes together, from a first loop to an arrangement. If you work in another DAW you're very welcome, just bring it along and we'll all learn from how each other works.
Roughly how it runs:- 17:00 · Arrive, grab a seat, say hi
- 17:15 · We play tracks people brought and talk about what makes them work
- 17:40 · Open studio: produce, jam, or build something together in pairs and small groups
- 18:30 · Whoever wants to shares what they made, or a track they love
- 18:50 · Hang out, swap contacts, plan the next one
Bring what you've got and we'll pool it: a laptop, a MIDI controller, headphones, or a USB with tracks you want to play. No gear and no experience needed. Coming just to listen and meet people is completely fine.
