An Afternoon at Amélie’s: Food, Conversation & Connection ☕🥐

Let’s get together for our second Our Common Ground gathering!

Join us Saturday, August 22 at 1:00 PM at Amélie’s French Bakery & Café | Carmel Commons for a relaxed afternoon of good food, conversation, and getting to know one another.

Amélie’s has something for everyone, from sandwiches and salads to pastries, macarons, coffee, tea, and plenty of other delicious treats.

Grab whatever sounds good to you, find a seat, and join us for some conversation and laughter. There’s no formal agenda—just an opportunity to meet some good people and enjoy a Saturday afternoon together.

Whether you joined us for our first gathering or this will be your first time, you are warmly welcome. Our Common Ground is still a brand-new community, and we’re building it one gathering at a time. Come as you are, bring your appetite or just your curiosity, and let’s see where the afternoon takes us!

Let’s get together for our third Our Common Ground gathering—and try something a little different!

Join us Saturday, August 29 at 1:00 PM at Mother of Dragons in Charlotte for an afternoon of board games, good food, conversation, and connection.

Mother of Dragons is a cozy board-game café where we can choose from their game library, grab something to eat or drink, and simply enjoy some time together. You don’t need to be an experienced board gamer to join us. We’ll choose something that works for the group once everyone arrives, and the goal is simply to have fun and get to know one another.

A few things to know:

• Please plan to arrive about 10–15 minutes early so we have time to get settled together.

• There is a $10 per-person gameplay fee, which each attendee will pay directly at the front counter when they arrive. This gives you access to the game library.

• Food and drinks are available for purchase separately, and everyone is responsible for their own food and beverages.

• Because we’ll be making a reservation and have a limited number of seats available, this event will have a cap and a waiting list.

• If you RSVP and later realize you can’t make it, please cancel your RSVP as soon as possible so someone on the waiting list has an opportunity to join us. ❤️

Whether you’ve been to an Our Common Ground gathering before or this will be your first one, you’re very welcome. We’re still a brand-new community, and we’re building friendships and finding our common ground one gathering at a time.
