What we’re about
Cocktails & Conversation is Going Places!
Our goal is to have adventures in dining and reading. We will explore restaurants/pubs on Long Island that will allow us to experience local and international dishes one event, and dive into books that will entertain and/or provoke lots of conversation the next.
This group was created to have a night where we can relax, de-stress from hectic daily life, and have a laugh. There will be a suggested topic to kick-start conversation every event and a lively conversation is guaranteed. All are welcome. Please be kind or you will be removed.
FOR DINING - a profile photo is required so we may recognize each other. The amount due is figured out by adding up the cost of items ordered and multiplying that sum by 1.3%
FOR BOOKS - join us at a local wine bar where you can sip, chat, and enjoy whether you've read some, all, or none of the book! Simply hanging out is encouraged and discussions are not limited to the book picked.
We look forward to meeting you over some COCKTAILS & CONVERSATION!

- Adventure in Dining: Fin-tastic Evening at fatfish! 🐟🍷FatFish, Bay Shore, NY
Place: fatfish ($$-$$$)
Menu: https://fatfish.info/menu-2/
Payment: Amount due is figured out by adding up items ordered and multiplying that sum by 1.3%
Note: fatfish does not take reservations, you need to be okay with a slight wait. We have gotten tables quickly so far 🤞Let's celebrate High School Summer w outdoor seating right on the Great South Bay! Prepare your taste buds for a wave of delicious dishes and a tide of cheer (aka Prosecco for me). We promise an evening filled with great food, even better company, tasty drinks, and no more fishy puns . . .
In their own words, this restaurant is a lively Mediterranean-inspired seafood destination, offering panoramic bay views from a sprawling patio, live music & wine bar with a fresh, innovative tapas menu. They pride themselves on serving the freshest seafood from local waters. All adding up to a unique dining experience.
The parking directly in front of restaurant is very limited so I always use the parking lot just before restaurant (on left).
Day before dinner has lots of rsvp changes so if you're on the Wait List, please be prepared for last-minute seating at the table.
