About us
It is very important that we all make sure we can receive MeetUp messages on the fly in very short time.
Sometimes its necessary to contact members about an event - and sometimes that's within short hours of the event (like an hour or 2 or 4 before the event) - to check that you're still attending or whatnot. We've had where our members do not get messages - or don't respond to them - and as I hope you understand, that makes it close to impossible to run this group of over 500 people well enough to be fair to all of us and certainly to be considerate of the restaurants we attend.
I like to think of us all as friends - even if we're still to have met - and its best if we are all on that same page.
Join us to discover, and rediscover, restaurants in the Atlanta area. If you are up for some adventure, we will also plan some great foodie trips beyond Atlanta. So great food, great conversation and new friends? A winning combination. We keep our events small, so expect dinners for 4-8 members only.
What do we ask in return? That you check out the menu and check your calendar before signing up. No last minute cancellations, and definitely no "no-shows". It's unfair to the rest of the group AND to the restaurant. Anyone canceling same day or not showing up will be removed from the group. Policies may change for certain events so make sure to read the fine print!

(inexpensive) Pasta da Pulcinella
Pasta da Pulcinella, 1100 W Peachtree St NW, Atlanta, GA, USI've been to this place a bit ago, but I forgot what it was like, and I do love Italian! I guess it'll require an expedition. It's relatively inexpensive with the average entree costing $24. Would you please consider joining me at a Friday night pre-symphony dinner?
Here's a link to the resto if you want to take a look: PASTA!!
Here's a little from the resto's web page:
Pulcinella originated as a character in the 17th Century Commedia dell’ Arte; it is a symbol of effervescence, joviality, and facing uncertainty of the future. These characteristics are not only reflected in the extraordinary Domenico Tiepolo Pulcinella drawings that adorn our walls, but also in the lively buzz, friendly service, and Chef Bibbiano’s creative menu offerings, with his renowned signature dish: Tortelli di Mele — round ravioli filled with Granny Smith apples, sausage, and parmigiano topped with brown butter and sage.

Sharon's Birthday!! (Marcel)
Marcel, 1170 Howell Mill Rd Nw, Atlanta, GA, USIts Sharon's birthday (on June 13th) !! If you'd like to celebrate Sharon with us .... Let's celebrate!!
Here's a link to Marcel: Marcel!
From the restaurant:
A brief and recent history of restaurants: First, there were places of taste and pastimes and chiaroscuro lighting and low piano notes of laughter; places of urbane chat over classic dishes and cocktails and wines and—of course, of course—steaks made the right way. Those were the days. Then people got fancy with their food and tried new things. Good for them. But they always come back. Classic is classic because classic serves, and serves well.
And here we are again, back to the beginnings at Marcel, a first-rate steakhouse and bar by Ford Fry. Named after Marcel Cerdan, the iconic French fighter-romantic who endured ring rumbles, war, marriage, a famous affair with Edith Piaf (and could only be stopped from seeing his love when his plane crashed into a mountain), Marcel is a return to the days when people appreciated every moment, when dull care was forgotten, when love lingered over the best meals—including, pound-for-pound, the best steaks money can buy.
Let’s not take ourselves too seriously. But life is short, so let’s seriously enjoy this excellent cuisine, this cheery company.
