The Downtowners is an informal group of people who live or work downtown and want to support locally owned businesses through monthly happy hour events and periodic informational sessions on timely downtown topics, while creating opportunities to meet new friends, find avenues to engage, and generally making a point to enjoy all that is downtown Madison.
As always, all downtown types are welcome. Please invite friends and colleagues!!

Come for fun, stay for the flavors! 🍽️Join The Downtowners and AMASIAN at Mishqui Peruvian Bistro on King Street as we explore the Asian influence behind some of Peru’s most iconic dishes. The Downtowners are proud to welcome Mishqui to our downtown community and to collaborate with AMASIAN for this special night.
Join us for an evening of connection, culture, and plenty of Mishqui — or “sweet vibes,” as it means in Quechua, the ancient language of Peru. Expect a warm welcome from both organizations, time to mingle, and the chance to experience Chifa — the Asian-Peruvian culinary fusion shaped by generations of cultural coexistence in Peru — along with some great Peruvian drink specials, right here in downtown Madison!
