Hello, fellow readers! If you're like me, there's quite a few classic novels you have to confess you've never read (or want to reread). This group is designed so we can tackle the classics together in an informal setting that doesn't expect you to be a literary expert.

Please note: there is a waiting list for the group so members are not automatically approved. Also, because of the waiting list, members who have been inactive for 3 months or more may be removed from the group to allow others on the waiting list to join.

Classic Novels: Atlas Shrugged
Merriam Plaza Library, 6120 Slater Street, Merriam, KS, USJoin us to discuss Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged (#66 on our list). This work of philosophical science fiction, published in 1957, was her fourth and final novel. The Library of Congress said, "The book’s negative view of government and its support of unimpeded capitalism as the highest moral objective have influenced libertarians and those who advocate less government."
