WE READ EVERYTHING! We are a group of black women who love to read, want to read more, and meet like-minded women. We are here to inspire women to read, share literature, fellowship, and encourage others in the joy of reading. We meet in Sacramento and Vacaville, Ca. on the second Saturday of every month, currently meeting on Zoom TFN.

Hi Mocha Girls,
The manager of Underground Books in Oak Park has invited our book club to a very special event- the Speaker Series featuring Malcolm D. Lee, acclaimed director, producer, and author of The Best Man: Unfinished Business.This is more than a book event; it's a celebration of Black stories, literacy, and the vibrant energy of Black book clubs. They'd be honored to welcome Mocha Girls Read as their special guest and hope this can be the start of a lasting connection between our club and the community.
The invitation is for local Sacramento members, 8–10 people max, so they can create a personal and engaging experience.

Get ready for a delightful time of literary delights! ☕️Join us for a book swap where we'll be sipping on our favorite beverages (soda, coffee, tea, or water) and sharing the joy of reading.
Here's the deal:
- Bring the Book Love: Bring up to 2 gently used books you're ready to part ways with. We'll be swapping them with other book lovers via mail – spreading the literary cheer!
- No Books? No Problem! Even if you don't have any books to swap, come on down and treat yourself to a new-to-you read!
- The More, The Merrier! Friends and family are absolutely welcome to join the fun.
