About us
** IMPORTANT INFORMATION **
We have some exciting news! As part of our move into the MoTaverse, the Ministry of Testing Newcastle group is officially migrating away from Meetup.
Going forward, we are now known as a Chapter, and we have a brand-new home where all our future events, photos, and talks will live.
Why the move?
By joining us on the new Chapter page, your participation now counts toward your professional growth. In the MoTaverse, youâll earn stars and badges for attending events, which display directly on your MoT profile to showcase your contributions to the community.
Itâs all part of our goal to provide "Community-as-a-Service"âbringing learning, events, and networking into one seamless experience.
What you need to do
To stay in the loop for our upcoming Newcastle events, please head over to our new page and join the Chapter:

Weâll be phasing out this Meetup group shortly, so make sure you make the jump today so you don't miss our next gathering!
For a deeper look at why weâre making these changes, you can check out Rosie Sherry's post: Meetups are now Chapters.
See you in the MoTaverse!

- Himanshu Tiwari is going to take us From Test Cases to AI Guardrails.
- We're going on a journey with Paul Alexander, who will describe how his team's automation strategy has changed over the years
- John McGee is going to give you a choice of talks, he could take you through experimenting and building a QA Artifact Factory in GitHub copilot, Quality Charters, what they are and how to use them or Reviewing a Test Automation Strategy - on the night you can decide.
We'll be hosting this event at Thought Works:
Newcastle - 78 Grey St, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 6AF
