The class - Saigon Vietnamese learning meetup
S'gon, 26/16 Nguyễn Bỉnh Khiêm, Đa Kao, Quận 1, Ho Chi Minh, VNThe event is co-hosted by Tiên, a Vietnamese teacher.
Please come on time.
We gather to practice Vietnamese with games, suitable for intermediary, beginners and more advanced alike. Albeit, if you are only "thinking of learning Vietnamese" but haven't started yet, this may not be the right place to go.
As it is a language learning event, it is intended for active learners. We also welcome you if you are a fluent Vietnamese speaker and desire to help out.
The meetup lasts 2h, and is free, but please do support the coffee-shop (~50-60k for a drink).
Event rundown:
► A quick introduction, and checking how much people know.
► Organizing the table according to those levels.
► Language games; passing the word, draw & guess in Vietnamese, a bit of fun idioms-- you will know more once there.
► Quick review on whatever subject hurts the most.
► We are done, we may just mix and mingle, and share learning goals, tips or stray questions.5 attendees
𝘴𝘵𝘥::𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘥_𝘴𝘯𝘪𝘱𝘦, computer science meetup
S'gon, 26/16 Nguyễn Bỉnh Khiêm, Đa Kao, Quận 1, Ho Chi Minh, VNA meetup for all things computer science, and that isn't about AI.
This is a technical and social event, where we gather monthly around the craft of building software. You can join the WhatsApp group here:
https://chat.whatsapp.com/HAFj4GbxvH33DBLgOZCDb7Schedule:
You can come early to co-work, I'll be at the coffee earlier that afternoon.- Let's simply discuss any topic, until enough people arrived. Lets keep it fairly technical.
- I will bring in a projector, for short talks or technical demos of 5 to 15min. If you have any ongoing project that is interesting to discuss, or a keynote to make, let us know on the WhatsApp group or we may improvize on the spot.
- We may go have a drink or grab a late dinner (I'll keep it affordable for everyone)
This may be about languages and language' designs, algorithms, low level, well designed abstractions, conduct of a software project... we may argue or defend TDD, love or hate Golang... it is all quite open, and it's all about diving down the rabbit hole.
notes:
- All English levels are welcome, so long as you know the technical rudimentaries- enough is all you need.
- If all of the attendance slots are full, feel free to join anyway, we got room.
