About us
This is a Meetup Group to share about my Yoga Events in Nevada County, CA. I'm KC and I call my business AcuYogini® because I teach Yoga and Self Care Acupressure.
The styles of yoga I are: Gentle, Yin, and Chair Yoga. I'm a Kripalu Certified Yoga Teacher, which is a style of yoga that emphasizes compassion and empowerment. I'm also a certified massage therapist and I integrate Self Care Acupressure and Massage into my yoga classes. I've been certified in yoga and massage since 2005. I'm registered with Yoga Alliance and a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider. You can learn more about me and my work at acuyogini.com.
Once a year I host a Weekend Yin Yoga Retreat in Nevada County. The next Retreat is June 12-14, 2026 in North San Juan, CA and it's a weekend of Acupressure, Yin Yoga, and Nature Meditation.
I teach Beginning Yoga, Gentle and Yin Yoga at Sierra College Community Education at the Nevada County Campus.

Yin Yoga Series at Sierra College
Sierra College Nevada County Campus, 250 Sierra College Dr, Grass Valley, CA, USYin Yoga Series at Sierra College Nevada County Campus with Community Education meets 6/29/26-7/27/26 (no class on 7/27/26) Monday evenings 5:30-6:30 pm. Price for Series is $65. Please register and pay at sierracommnityed.org
Yin is a restorative style of yoga that works deep into the connective tissue for stretching and lengthening. Yin yoga poses are done on the floor and held for longer periods of time for the meditative benefits. This class helps activate the parasympathetic nervous system, the rest and digest state, which helps calm the body and mind. Pose variations are offered so that the practice is accessible to everyone! Wear comfortable workout clothing and bring a yoga mat.
