This is our usual Walk & Yap, where you meet new people through easy conversation, with a purpose this time. We're joining Roll Over Multiple Sclerosis Foundation New Jersey, a 3K where everyone moves their own way, then heading to lunch together.Why come?
- β¨ Meet new people without the awkwardness of a mixer. Walking side by side makes conversation easy.
- π Get to know people over lunch. The walk breaks the ice, and lunch is where the real conversations happen.
- πΆ Enjoy an easy, feel-good morning at Duke Island Park. You can walk, roll, skate, scoot or bike at your own pace.
- π Make a difference. Your registration funds free help for people living with MS.
- π Win prizes for Top Fundraisers, Most Team Members and the most fun athletic outfit.
- π§ Learn something about a condition that affects someone in almost everyone's circle.

- 9:00 a.m.: Registration at Duke Island Park, 191 Old York Road, Bridgewater
- 9:15 a.m.: Meet our group at the visitor center.
- 10:00 a.m.: The walk begins
- About 12:00 p.m.: Lunch at Il Forno a Legna, 53 W Somerset St, Raritan (everyone pays for their own meal)
What is multiple sclerosis (MS)?
MS is a chronic autoimmune condition. The immune system mistakenly attacks the brain and spinal cord, which disrupts the signals between the brain and the body. It usually starts between ages 20 and 40 and affects more women than men. Symptoms vary and can include vision problems, numbness, weakness, balance trouble and fatigue. There's no cure yet, but treatment can reduce relapses and slow the disease down.
Why we're walking
At MS Focus, change starts with people like you. Since 1986, MS Focus: The Multiple Sclerosis Foundation has provided free help to people with MS and their families. That includes a helpline, assistive devices, financial grants, support groups and education. Every dollar and every step helps.
