Mindfulness Meditation
Group Goal:
- Provide a safe and supportive environment for individuals to cultivate mindfulness and meditation practices
- Foster a sense of community and connection among members
- Encourage personal growth, self-awareness, and emotional regulation through mindfulness techniques
Target Audience:
- Individuals seeking to reduce stress and anxiety
- Those interested in mindfulness and meditation practices
- People looking to improve their mental and emotional well-being
- Anyone seeking a supportive community to explore mindfulness together
Event Structure:
- Introduction and Welcome by Tan, trained Vipassana Mindfulness Meditation teacher.
- Welcome members and introduce the theme or focus of the session
- short Dharma talk.
- Guided Meditation* (10-15 minutes)
- Lead a guided meditation session, focusing on breath, body scan, or loving-kindness
- Encourage members to cultivate awareness and presence
- Longer Mindfulness meditation (20-30 minutes)
- Group Discussion(15-30 minutes)
- Facilitate a discussion on the theme or focus of the session
- Encourage members to share their experiences, insights, and challenges
- Tea, biscuits and chat.

- Weekly Meditation Sessions:
Regular sessions focusing on different themes, such as stress reduction, self-compassion, or gratitude
Facilitation:
- Creating a safe and non-judgmental space for members to share their experiences
- Encourage active listening and empathy among members
- Provide guidance and support for members to develop their mindfulness practice
Community Building:
- Encourage members to connect with each other outside of sessions
- Host social events or activities to foster a sense of community
- Create an online platform for members to share resources, ask questions, and connect with each other.
