Summer is almost here, and Lafayette is coming alive with music, laughter, and connection — and you’re invited!

Join us on the Second Friday of each month for a vibrant street festival filled with live music, local art, delicious food trucks, and an incredible sense of community. This is one of those nights where you can simply show up, relax, and enjoy being surrounded by great people and great energy.

We’ll gather at the picnic tables in Sculpture Park (just north of the beloved Eats & Sweets ice cream parlor 🍦), making it easy to find your people and settle in together.

Parking is available throughout town, and the lot next to the old Lafayette Florist is usually a hidden gem. Prefer not to drive? Hop on the RTD bus, head to the park-and-ride, and enjoy a scenic stroll down Main Street.
Bring a friend—or come solo and meet plenty. Either way, you belong here.

The Library is proud to partner with Active Minds and community experts for an ongoing lecture series designed to inspire curiosity, conversation, and lifelong learning.

A UNESCO World Heritage Site is a place officially recognized as having outstanding value to humanity—so important that it deserves protection for future generations.

🌍 What makes a site “World Heritage”?
To qualify, a place must be unique, irreplaceable, and globally significant in at least one of these ways:

• Cultural – historic cities, monuments, architecture, archaeological sites
• Natural – landscapes, forests, mountains, coastlines, ecosystems
• Mixed – places that are both culturally and naturally significant

🏛️ Why it matters

• Recognizes our shared human history and natural wonders
• Encourages preservation and responsible tourism
• Helps protect sites from damage, neglect, or overdevelopment
• These places belong to everyone, not just the country where they’re located
