It's Oakland Ballers' opening day! Let's celebrate by visiting the marketplace next to the ballpark -- and we'll check out the new Almanac Beer Co. inside Prescott Market.
We will meet at Prescott Market in West Oakland, and you will have a choice of 2 out-and-back run distances that lead to Sutter Regional Shoreline -- a short 5k (turnaround at the Caltrans Maintenance Yard) OR 4.14 miles (turnaround at the first Burma Road entrance to Sutter Regional Shoreline Park). Both run distances will lead you back to the marketplace for drinks and food. (Again...it is opening day for the Ballers. Plus, the marketplace is a public space. So...expect a various mix of crowds.)

Although the meeting time is at 6:30PM, we don't typically start the actual run until 10 minutes after the hour.
Like many places in Oakland, there are car break-ins in the area. So, please do NOT leave anything of value in your car to tempt the thieves. We do NOT have a space to store belongings as of now, but we will let you know if that changes. Prescott Market has limited parking lot spaces, but there is plenty of street parking around the area -- which we recommend you do if you decide to drive here. Prescott Market is located 1 mile north of West Oakland BART, and there's a spot for bike parking.
Like all runs, we will do our best to prevent people from getting lost (verbal directions are often provided beforehand and/or a QR code with directions is printed, as well), and we are very flexible when it comes to pace and distance. All levels of running and drinking experience are welcome!
