About us
Hey ladies—ready to dip your toes (and sometimes fishing rods) in? Welcome to Women on Water! This is your safe, fun spot to get out on lakes & rivers, whether you’ve never held a paddle or you’re a pro. We'll do paddleboarding, kayaking, or hop on my fishing boat for chill casts and girl talk. No pressure, no judgment—just women supporting women on the water. All skill levels, all ages. First-timers? We'll teach basics. Bring sunscreen, water, and a smile. Let's make waves together! 🌊🚣♀️"
This purpose of this group is to connect women who love being on the water. Boating, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, standup paddleboarding, or even just floating – who wants to get out there with me? When I’m on the water, I enter a dimension where I lose sense of time & date. I escape… and the only thing that matters is the weather, having food/drink, and access to a bathroom if needed. Many of my days on the water are just enjoyed as an opportunity to unplug and catch some sun and waves, sometimes I also catch fish (but I practice catch & release).
I firmly believe beauty is appreciated more when we have someone to experience it with. It’s more fun when we have someone to share the awesome thing we just saw – rather than just seeing it ourselves with no one to tell.
Future outings (when the water & air is a bit warmer) will include paddleboarding and kayaking, even canoeing. I have some equipment you can rent for a nominal token of appreciation for bringing and lending the equipment. Bring your own equipment, or request mine, & let’s hit the water (weather permitting, of course). I’m more of a fair-weather water woman, but members can go out with other members ANYTIME you chose! Let’s get out there together, have fun, and enjoy the beautiful waters around us!
This is our kickoff: a super relaxed morning on my small 17-foot Bass Tracker aluminum fishing boat. We'll cruise calm water, cast a few lines (no experience needed—I'll show you), maybe snag a bass or just float and chat (weather permitting, of course!). Life jackets, bait, rods all provided. Total newbie? Perfect. We'll keep it easy—no pressure, just good vibes and girl time on the water. Spots limited—RSVP quick! 🌊🎣🚤
P.S. Boat's got room for three besides me – comfy seats—first come, first aboard!

It's PADDLE TIME!!
Paddle Launch - Panga Bar & Grill, 34422 Delafield Rd, Summit, WI 53066, Douglas County, WI, USTIME UPDATED
to accommodate warmer tempsBased upon the input from the majority of the attendees, we are moving the time to a warmer time of day. For those who can't join us on this day at the later time slot, my apologies for any schedule inconvenience.
Panga has been gracious enough to allow us to use their launch at no charge for our group.
After we paddle, please plan to visit a bit at Panga for drinks and/or a bite to eat as our show of gratitude for their hospitality. 😁PLEASE NOTE Panga requests we use the public parking down the street & carpool after launch so we don't fill their lot with our cars while we're out paddling. We'll work out details morning of. Pull up to unload your board or kayak & then we'll arrange parking together. 🙌🏻
Ok, Ladies! It's time to get wet!! 🥳 Our first paddle outing might still be a bit on the chilly side, but we can play it by ear since we're planning ahead. 😎 We'll meet at the launch & help each other to get our water crafts off/out of our vehicles (that's one of the reasons to do these activities with other women) and then we'll head out to get in the water.
We'll select a place that's easy for beginners & based on feedback, we may go someplace that offers rentals, too. We won't go really far or long, just a nice, relaxed, and easy time out for our first paddle outing as a group.
My initial thoughts are to go to Upper Nemahbin Lake in Summit, just off of 94 (on the North Side of the Freeway). Panga Bar & Grill is located here & offers rentals. Their launch is very easy & calm. Then, for those interested, we could grab a bite to eat or get something to drink after.
If anyone has other suggestions, please let me know your thoughts!
For future reference, there are Waukesha County parks & lakes you can buy passes to in order to launch (instead of paying fees when you arrive at launch). Here's the link:
Waukesha County Parks Passes & Lake AccessNot all bodies of water are covered in this pass, but some really good ones are that we will be most likely to frequent as a group. Be sure to check it out.
Now let's get out there & go have some fun!!
