What we’re about
The Kenya OpenInfra User Group is a vibrant community of technologists, developers, and open-source enthusiasts dedicated to advancing the adoption and growth of open infrastructure technologies in Kenya and beyond. As part of the global OpenInfra community, we collaborate to share knowledge, foster innovation, and drive the development of open-source tools like OpenStack, Kata Containers, and more.
Through regular meetups, workshops, and networking events, we empower individuals and organizations to build scalable, flexible, and open solutions that address real-world challenges. Whether you're an experienced contributor or just starting your journey in open infrastructure, the Kenya OpenInfra User Group is your gateway to learning, connecting, and innovating in the world of open source.

OpenInfra Days are organized and hosted annually by local OpenInfra User Groups and companies in the ecosystem.
They are often one or two-day events with keynotes, breakout sessions and even workshops.
The Kenyan chapter [OpenInfra User Group Kenya] is hosting the first ever OpenInfra Day in Africa.
The event brings together open source technologists and enthusiasts, developers, DevOps, and infra professionals - cloud, sysadmins, and networking to talk all things open source and infrastructure.
We are preparing a great list of speakers, from open source contributors, to companies that are building with open source tech, to members of communities within the OpenInfra ecosystem and projects [OpenStack, Zuul, Kata Containers, and Airship].
Come ready to delve into the open infrastructure world.
We'll also be celebrating OpenStack's 15th birthday and sharing our experiences with OpenStack.
We are excited to see you there.
We'll be sharing details as we get ready.
