About Us: We are a Social Cycling Group for Adults run by Volunteers.
Our Mission:
To bring people together to have fun and make new friends while safely exploring Metro Vancouver and the surrounding areas. This includes some rides to Vancouver Island, the Gulf Islands and into Washington State..
Our rides range from urban and suburban to rural, on bike friendly roadways, dykes and trails and, from a few hours to all day. Rides are generally easy to moderate in difficulty and may run from 50 to 90 km.
Our goal is for participants to arrive at the end of a ride happy and satisfied with the outing and their ride leaders.
Code of Conduct:
Our cycling group is committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all members. We expect all participants to conduct themselves with integrity, kindness, and respect towards others during rides or events run by this group. Members should adhere to all traffic laws, ride safely, and support fellow cyclists, ensuring that everyone feels welcome and valued.
Bullying, harassment, and discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to, verbal abuse, physical intimidation, and any form of discriminatory behavior based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or any other characteristic. Any member found engaging in such behavior will be subject to disciplinary action, which may include suspension or expulsion from the group. By participating in our rides, all members agree to uphold these standards and contribute to a positive and supportive cycling community.

This is a loop ride with approximately 55.5 km of roadways and 7.5 km of hard packed trails. From our start point we head south and east, on country roadways, across Langley Township to the Bradner General Store where we stop for coffee. We then head north to Poplar Bar on the Fraser river where we stop for lunch. After lunch we head west to Fort Langley and onto the Fort to Fort Trail to 208 St., then South back to our start point.
Difficulty: Moderate / Hard if you have been biking regularly. There are some hills.
Distance: 63.8 km
Estimated Ride Time: 5.5 hr.
Bring: snacks, water and Pack a Lunch or buy something at Bradner General Store. There are no food facilities near Poplar Bar.
Meet Up Location: Walnut Grove Community Park, behind Walnut Grove Secondary School, 8919 Walnut Grove Drive, Langley.

THE RIDE:
https://www.komoot.com/tour/1866233567Join Out-n-About Cycling in Metro Vancouver for an exhilarating cycling adventure on the Vedder Trail to the Timihi Rapids and return. This ride will take you along the scenic Vedder River to Timihi Rapids on the Chilliwack River. There are a couple of steep climbs and thrilling descents. We will stop for lunch at the Cultis Lake Pub in Cultis Lake. From here, it is basically flat for the rest of the ride.
Difficulty: Moderate if you have been biking regularly.

Estimated Ride Time: 5 - 6 hrs

Meet Up Location: South foot of Peach Rd.
From Hwy 1, exit onto Lickman Rd. South and travel 4.5 km to Keith Wilson Rd, and turn left (east). Follow Keith Wilson Rd. for approximately 1.5 km and turn right on Peach Rd. Follow Peach Rd for about 575 meters to the parking area.

From Central Park, we go west on 45th and 37th Ave to Pacific Spirit Regional Park. The route continues north thru UBC to Marine Drive and around to Jericho Beach where we stop for lunch. We next head over the Burrard St. Bridge, along Beach Ave, past Lost Lagoon and along Coal Harbour, thru downtown and around False Creek to Ontario St. We head south on Ontario to 10th Ave., thru John Hendry Park onto the BC Parkway and back to Central Park.
Difficulty: Moderate if you have been biking regularly. There are some Hills.
Distance: 56.3 km
Estimated Ride Time: 5.5 hrs.Bring: snacks/water and Pack a Lunch. (We will stop for lunch at Jericho Beach.
Meet Up Location: Central Park Tennis Courts, Washroom Parking Lot. 2 blocks south of Patterson Skytrain Station.

This is a loop ride with 56 Km of paved bikeways/roads and 2.5 km of hard-packed trails. The route runs west along the Fraser River to Compton St then zigzags up to 59th, then west again to the Arbutus Greenway and Arbutus Ridge. From there we head over the Burrard St. Bridge, around False Creek and along 7th Ave to Ontario, along 37th Ave and 45th Ave to Central Park, then along BC Parkway, the Southridge Urban Trail and the Byrne Creek Urban Trail back to the start point. The coffee stop will be at Bean Around the World on 57th.Difficulty: Moderate if you have been biking regularly.
