Bicycle Aurora

Welcome to 2026 bicycle people! Let's go take a New Year's Day Ride around Cherry Creek Reservoir. We'll leave from Horseshoe Park and ride to the res via the Spillway Trail, then ride around the lakey-goodness on the state park, multi-use trails over to the Cherry Creek Trail and head back down the front side of the dam and back to the Spillway Trail, returning to Horseshoe Park. About 15 miles roundtrip with some very minor, short climbs. 10-12 mph pace and no-drop. Multiple restroom stops are available at the start point and in the state park.

Bring your helmet, gloves, jacket, water and snacks as desired. There may be optional snacks at 6 Capitals Brewery for post ride enjoyment.

BY ATTENDING this group ride event you ACKNOWLEDGE and ACCEPT the following:
1. I ACKNOWLEDGE, agree, and represent that I understand the nature of bicycling activities and that I am qualified, in good health, and in proper physical condition to participate in such activity. I further acknowledge that the group ride activity will be conducted over public pavements, trails, on-street bike lanes and facilities open to the public, and upon which the hazards of traveling are to be expected. I further agree and warrant that if, at any time, I believe conditions to be unsafe, I will immediately discontinue further participation.
2. I FULLY UNDERSTAND that (a) BICYCLING ACTIVITIES INVOLVE RISKS AND DANGERS OF SERIOUS BODILY INJURY, INCLUDING PERMANENT DISABILITY, PARALYSIS AND DEATH ("Risks"); (b) these Risks and dangers may be caused by my own actions or inactions, the actions or inactions of others participating in the group ride activity, the conditions in which the group ride activity takes place, or the negligence of others; (c) there may be OTHER RISKS AND SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC LOSSES either not known to me or not readily foreseeable at this time; and I FULLY ACCEPT AND ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS AND ALL RESPONSIBILITY FOR LOSSES, COSTS, AND DAMAGES I may incur as a result of my participation; (d) I acknowledge that Bicycle Aurora, event organizers, ride leaders, and any event volunteers will not be liable for any accidents or damages through this group ride.
