OWLs (Older Wiser Liveliers) WHO Want to have fun

The purpose of this group is to have a lot of fun, meet new people and do fun things together.
This group will probably mostly be of the 50+ age range, but all are welcome.
The OWLs will enjoy many events including dinners, the zoo, Botanical Gardens, Art Museum, walks, lunches, thrift shopping and more!
I know this goes without saying but I am adding this disclaimer: The organizers of this group are not responsible for the members of this group. Each member is responsible for taking care of themselves by using their own judgement when attending event

NEW GROUP POLICIES ALSO POSTED ON THE DISCUSSION BOARD: Because our new lunches are limited to six for cozy conversations, spots are precious, and we now have active waitlists. To make sure everyone gets a fair chance to attend, we are implementing the following two new polices:
NEW NO SHOW POLICY (replaces the old one): We understand life happens! However, if you miss an event without updating your RSVP, you will receive a warning. A second NO SHOW (including any previous NO SHOW you may already have) will result in being moved to the Waitlist automatically or being unable to attend lunches for the next 90 days.
Please note that as posted in each lunch event, people are allowed to change their RSVP even an hour before the event.
--->IMPORTANT: This 1-hour window is strictly for true emergencies. Last-minute cancellations should not become a habit, and we will monitor frequent late changes to ensure the system remains fair to everyone.
Note for the waitlist: Because of this 1-hour window, you might be automatically moved from the waitlist to "Going" up to an hour before the lunch starts. If you cannot check your notifications closely that day, please remove yourself from the waitlist to avoid an accidental no-show.
GOING LIST ONLY POLICY: No one has done this yet, but since we are strictly keeping the events to six, please only show up if you are on the "GOING" list. We want to keep things fair to all members. Additionally, we request a table specifically for six, making it difficult for the restaurant to accommodate extra seating at the last minute.
Please note that if you show up without an active RSVP, the organizer will unfortunately have to turn you away to respect the venue's space and the group limit. We want to also keep things fair for the restaurant and the members who were on the waitlist.
