🍷 Palo Alto Blind Wine Society
Taste. Learn. Guess. Repeat.

📅 Monday Nights @ 7:00 PM | Advanced CMS Study Track
RSVP & Host Confirmation Required

📅 Sundays @ 12:00 PM | Blind Tasting Workshop
RSVP & Host Confirmation Required

Palo Alto Blind Wine Society is a community of wine lovers, certification students, industry professionals, and curious learners who gather to deepen their understanding of wine through structured tasting and thoughtful discussion.

We believe blind tasting is one of the best ways to build real wine knowledge — by removing labels, assumptions, and pretense.

Whether you’re studying seriously or simply want to sharpen your palate, our goal is the same:
Learn why wine tastes the way it does.

What to Expect
• Structured, deductive tasting and guided discussion
• Weekly rotating educational themes
• Supportive, ego-free conversation
• A serious but welcoming learning environment

Our Two Tracks
🧭 Monday — Advanced CMS Study Track
A focused blind tasting night for serious students, professionals, and experienced tasters.
Guests bring one wrapped bottle matching the theme.
Wines are tasted fully blind in structured format.

✨ Sunday — Blind Tasting Workshop
Designed to build palate and confidence in an approachable workshop format.

Beyond Weekly Tastings
We also regularly organize:
• Winery visits and educational field trips
• Wine country road trips
• Group dinners and chef collaborations
• Museum outings
• BBQs and social gatherings

Who Should Join
• Wine professionals
• Certification students (CMS, WSET, WSG, etc.)
• Curious beginners eager to learn
• Anyone who values wine, community, and thoughtful tasting

Space is intentionally limited to preserve discussion quality and learning environment.
If full, join the waitlist — spots often open.

We look forward to tasting with you.

Palo Alto Blind Wine Society — Monthly Tradition

Some of the best wine experiences aren’t advertised.
You just have to know where to go.

Once a month, we step away from blind tasting grids and into something equally important: great wine, great people, and zero pressure.

This is our standing social night at the Secret Wine Bar — a hidden gem where the wines are always thoughtfully selected by Master Sommelier David Glancy, founder of the San Francisco Wine School.

Expect:
• Exceptional wines you might not normally encounter
• A relaxed, insider wine crowd
• Conversations that range from geeky to hilarious
• A chance to just enjoy wine without guessing it

No themes.
No exams.
No pressure.

Just great bottles and great company.

🍷 Why we go:
Because even serious tasters need nights where wine is simply fun again.

🍇 What makes this special:
David Glancy MS curates the wine list, which means the quality and interest level is consistently high. You never know exactly what will be featured, but it is always worth it.

📅 When: Last Saturday of every month
📍 Where: Secret Wine Bar (location shared with attendees)
👥 Who: PABWS members and friends

💡 Good to know:
• Buy whatever wines interest you
• Stay as long or as short as you like
• New members welcome
• This is a social night, not a structured tasting

If you love discovering great wine with people who actually care about what’s in the glass, this is your kind of night.

Taste. Learn. Guess. Repeat.
(And sometimes… just drink.)
