Park Ridge Community Bike Rides

Fall is a great time for bike riding. So come join us for a laid back social ride through portions of Park Ridge & surrounding areas!

Any level rider is welcome, as we adjust rides to the interests & abilities of participants each time. (And as is typical of social rides, we will focus on enjoying the day, not setting any speed records!) We will ride as one group & not leave anyone behind. We only ask you bring a reliable bike and be capable of a moderate riding pace (~10mph) over a moderate distance (7.5 mi+).

No two rides are identical, but we typically explore various nooks & crannies of Park Ridge, sometimes venturing into neighboring communities or onto nearby trails as well. We have fun wherever we go, and typically light refreshments are provided afterwards.

(1) Bring a HELMET please. (2) Carry photo ID & phone for emergencies. (3) No earbuds/earphones, portable speakers only at low volume. (4) Plan ahead & bring anything else you may need like spare tire/pump, water bottle, rain poncho, sunscreen. (5) It is a day ride but lights and bright clothes are always advisable. For this ride we will venture a little beyond our usual Park Ridge riding area, meeting over at Miami Woods. As it is a good spot nearby where we can hop onto the North Branch Trail, which should provide ample opportunities to see some of the beauty of fall. We will ride up or down this trail, then plan to have light refreshments afterwards, back at our starting point.
