Portland City and Trail Walking Meetup Group

We will hike 4 or 5 miles at a moderate pace (2.5 mph) with about 600 feet of elevation gain. Meet at the Visitor Center at the end of SE 162nd Ave. south of Powell Blvd. There are restrooms and there is no parking fee.

Incredible 3.4 miles, 328 ascending and 300+ descending stairs. Optional lunch at Goose Hollow Inn after the walk.
Excellent views and architecture of the neighborhood above and around the PSU campus.
You might want to bring water…you’ll sweat or glow.
Limited parking near the start on SW 20th Ave and SW Howards Way south of Jefferson Street.

Meetup start point is uphill on SW 20th Ave south of SW Howards Way

About 5 miles out-and-back from the Holman Lane trailhead next to 3509 NW Raleigh St up to the Pittock Mansion on a lovely forested path.

There is a good amount of elevation gain (833 feet), but we take a moderate pace, and we usually stop for 15 to 20 minutes at the top to take in the views and chit chat.
Optional lunch/snacks at Elephants Deli afterwards.

Meet outside Jim & Patty's Coffee, 2021 NW Miller Rd, Portland 97229. We'll walk the trails within the Forest Heights neighborhood. About 4 hilly miles with 700 feet of elevation.
