About us

The Queer Men's Book Club reads gay male literature, fiction and nonfiction alike, with themes that speak to the lives, history, and interests of gay men. We meet on the second Thursday of every month at 6:45 PM Eastern, in person in New Haven and on Zoom, so you can take part from anywhere.
Open to all male-identified individuals with an interest in gay male literature, the club welcomes members of any age, background, sexual orientation, or literary experience. While the focus is on gay male perspectives, allies and other members of the LGBTQ+ community are encouraged to join if they share a passion for this writing.
Recent books include Another Country by James Baldwin, Yes, Daddy by Jonathan Parks-Ramage, and Fadeout by Joseph Hansen. In-person meetings are held at the New Haven Free Public Library, 133 Elm Street. Members outside Connecticut join the same discussion on Zoom.
