🧠 Mind Expanding Mondays Book Club

Join us on the last Monday of every month as we explore thought-provoking nonfiction books that spark curiosity, meaningful conversation, and new ways of seeing the world.

Our first book is Blue Mind by Wallace J. Nichols, a fascinating look at the powerful connection between water and our mental and emotional well-being. To bring the book to life, we’ll gather by the water for our discussion, surrounded by the very environment that inspired its message.

One of the unique features of our book club is that we’ll try to match each month’s meeting location to the theme of the book whenever possible. From waterfronts and parks to museums, cafés, gardens, and other inspiring spaces, the setting will become part of the experience.

This is a relaxed, welcoming discussion group—no lectures, no quizzes, and no pressure. Simply read the book, come with an open mind, and enjoy thoughtful conversation with others who love learning, growing, and exploring new ideas.

Whether a book challenges your perspective, inspires a new hobby, or simply gives you something interesting to think about, you’ll leave with more than just what you read—you’ll leave with new insights and new connections.

🎲 Fun & Games Fridays: Apples to Apples & Herd Mentality

Kick off the month with laughter, friendly competition, and great conversation at the very first Fun & Games Friday with Cozy Connections!

Whether you’re coming with friends or arriving solo, this is a relaxed, welcoming evening designed to help people connect while having fun. No gaming experience is needed—just bring your sense of humor!

We’ll be playing two crowd favorites:

🍎 Apples to Apples – A hilarious game of word association where there’s no right answer… just the funniest, most clever, or most convincing one!

🐄 Herd Mentality – Can you think like everyone else? This laugh-out-loud game isn’t about being the smartest—it’s about guessing what the group will say. Sometimes fitting in is the key to winning!

These games are easy to learn, perfect for meeting new people, and guaranteed to spark plenty of laughs and conversation.

Whether you’re naturally competitive or just looking for a fun way to spend a Friday evening, you’ll fit right in.

Fun & Games Fridays take place on the first Friday of each month, with different games featured throughout the year. Come discover your new favorite game—and maybe even make a few new friends along the way!

Cozy Connections Road Rally Scavenger Hunt!

Ready for an afternoon of laughter, teamwork, and a little adventure?

We’ll split into small teams (about 3 people each), hop in our cars, and set off on a scavenger hunt unlike any other! Your team will complete fun photo and video challenges, search for quirky items, and tackle silly missions that are guaranteed to create memories (and probably a few embarrassing photos!).

Don’t worry—this isn’t about running, hiking, or solving impossible riddles. It’s all about working together, laughing together, and getting to know new people along the way.

How it Works

• We’ll meet first to divide into teams and hand out the scavenger hunt lists.
• Each team will have about 2 hours to complete as many challenges as possible.
• You’ll travel by car, stopping wherever inspiration strikes. There isn’t one specific route, so every team’s adventure will be unique!
• Take photos and short videos as proof of your completed challenges.
• Safety first! Please obey all traffic laws, be respectful of people and property, and don’t attempt anything unsafe.

The Grand Finale 🍕

We’ll all meet back at Grottos Grand Slam to relax, grab some food and drinks, and enjoy the best part of the day—sharing everyone’s funniest photos and videos!

We’ll laugh, vote for our favorites, tell stories from the road, and hand out prizes for categories like:

🎥 Best Video
🎭 Most Creative Team

…and maybe a few surprise awards!

Whether you’ve never picked up a paintbrush or you’ve been painting for years, this class is all about relaxing, being creative, and enjoying good company. I’ll guide everyone step-by-step, so no artistic experience is necessary.
