A casual and informal book club in Riyadh for people who want to read and talk about books in English.
We’ll be picking books from a range of genres (fiction, non-fiction, sci-fi, memoir, classics, etc.) and switching it up each time to keep things interesting. Discussions will be informal — no pressure to say something profound, or indeed anything at all (but profundity and insight will be always welcome).
Meet ups occur weekly to discuss the book we are currently reading. For longer books, we split up the book into several weeks, with a reading goal for each week (eg chapters 1-5 etc). When we finish a book, the group decides on the next book to read.
The main idea is to read more, meet new people, and stimulate interesting conversations. Open to anyone in Riyadh who wants to join.
