What we’re about

This is a group for anyone interested in tasting, drinking, learning about, sharing, and experiencing good wines and making new friends. We'll meet at wineries or vineyards and people's homes for tastings and special events. Everyone who is interested in expanding experiences with wine is welcome. Remember: No matter your age, life is too short to drink bad wine.
"Wine is one of the most civilized things in the world and one of the most natural things of the world that has been brought to the greatest perfection, and it offers a greater range for enjoyment and appreciation than, possibly, any other purely sensory thing." -Ernest Hemingway

Group Agreement

This group involves tasting and consuming alcohol. By joining this Meetup, you agree to the following:

• Be Safe
-Drink responsibly: know when you have had enough. Allow someone to take your keys,  call a cab or friend if you inadvertently enjoyed the wine too much. This group assumes no legal responsibility for anyone who overindulges and gets into trouble.

• Be Respectful
-If you RSVP, show up or cancel a day or two before the event. Our organizers will make arrangements with businesses based on the number of people who say they are coming. In some cases, those businesses will bring in extra staff to accommodate us.
-Our group is open to everyone who loves good wine or who wants to know more about it. Our members are welcoming to people from all kinds of backgrounds and preferences. Rudeness, vulgarity, and harassment are not tolerated.
-Privacy is important to us. Before uploading photos or sharing things to this Meetup or other social media, make sure the people involved are okay with the posting.
-you must be able to attend events. If you live outside of the Willamette Valley or join the group but don't attend an event within 9 months after joining, you will be removed from the group.
-if you RSVP for an event and don't show up, after the 2nd time of doing this, you will be removed from the group. Please update your RSVP or message the organizer of the event before the start time of the event to avoid being removed from the group due to "no shows".
