New player? We usually run a beginner D&D game that will teach you the basics in 4 hours. Other systems are set up to be beginner friendly as well.

Level 5 D&D games are often featured. Pre-generated 5.5e characters are available, but you're welcome to bring your own D&D character*

There is a myriad of superb role-playing games other than D&D and our GMs bring their favorites to share. Be daring and try something new!

Come meet old and new players and our rotating group of LGBT+ friendly game masters at this library program. We focus on role playing, collaboration, and equal participation of all players.
We meet at the central library downtown Santa Cruz, in the upstairs Community Room. First come, first serve so please be on time!

* Keep these guidelines in mind: We generally use the 5.5e Core ruleset. Level 5 games are perfect for testing new builds or trying out some new combination of class and species.

A salon-style get together for local tabletop roleplaying gamers. Come hang out with other Santa Cruz County residents interesting in geeking out with fellow TTRPG enthusiasts on the 2nd Saturday of each month.

The Santa Cruz Gamer Gaggle is organized and hosted by local Santa Cruz County gamers (and this Meetup Group hosts) Erick Schmidt and Matt Steele. We’re just friends building a community of local gamers who want to sit down and talk gaming every once in a while.

There’s nothing like sitting across the table from someone and talking about the latest release or industry controversy or favorite setting or rules set. We want a little more of that in our lives and want to do it with other folks in Santa Cruz County who feel the same.

We start each Gaggle with an icebreaker topic to get conversation started. Then we switch to an Open Gaggle where people chat about whatever TTRPG topics they like.

Our goal is to grow the in-person TTRPG community of Santa Cruz County locals. We know that there are a lot of gamers in the area, but they're a bit disconnected and isolated. We want to bring us all together to meet, hang out, and chat about TTRPGs.
