About us
The focus of this meet up is primarily on hiking in the summer, and cross-country skiing in the winter. That said, if you have a good idea that fits the "outdoor enthusiasts" description, by all means, send in the request and let's post it as an event. Examples are: biking, camping, snowshoeing, kayaking, and canoeing.
Most of the events will be near Saskatoon, but there are many interesting places to explore within a few hours' drive of the city so...let's get out there.
Now the unpleasant part: meetup sites cost money, so in order to offset the costs of this site I'm requesting that participants pay $10 per year, due at the first activity you participate in each year.
See you on the trails...

Beaver Creek Fall Hike
Beaver Creek Conservation Area, No. 11, Saskatoon, SK, CALet's stay local to see fall colours at Beaver Creek Conservation Area. This is my favourite place in Saskatoon for fall colours and there should be sandhill cranes along the river.
The trails are easy except for steep sections down to and up from the river, so poles would be helpful. We might be able to feed the chickadees along the way. We'll hike all of the trails, for a total of about 7 kms. Here is a map of the trails BCCA_Pamphlet_10-4 (meewasin.com)
We'll meet in the parking lot at Beaver Creek at 12 p.m. sharp. Beaver Creek Conservation Area is located approximately 13 km south of Saskatoon. Starting at Lorne Avenue, take Highway #219 south of Saskatoon. After about 12 km you will see a sign Beaver Creek East, do not turn here, continue past this sign about 1 km to a sign on the right reading "Beaver Creek Conservation Area." Turn right (west) and follow the winding road to the parking lot.
Bring a snack and water and dress for the weather. If you have not already done so, e-transfer the annual $10 meetup fee to eneudorf@hotemail.com
