What we’re about
Welcome to Scrambled Legs and a Pint.
We are primarily a hiking group with the aim to hike, paddle, camp and even enjoy a pub, cafe or anywhere that will take us! <br>Also, in this time of hardship, we as a group are proud to be using half of the proceeds to support local food banks and soup kitchens. Any donations on top of walk fees are welcome, be the spare change or (non-perishable) food items dropped off at the walk.
If you enjoy a good banter, great company, being outdoors with similar folk and most importantly fun and laughter, we may just be the group you are looking to get involved with.
Come prepared with a hot drink and a smile! All we ask is respect for fellow hikers and the environment we all enjoy so much.
If you have any questions please message one of the co-organisers or myself and we will be more than happy to help.
Whether you're a first timer or a seasoned regular, you will always be made to feel very welcome.
Let the fun begin! 😊

January is miserable! Let's change that!
After the huge success earlier this year, we're hoping to repeat the weekend away to Okehampton in January 2026. Those who joined us in January 2025 will vouch for how much fun this weekend was.
As before, the dates are currently tentative. I will confirm the dates as soon as we have booking options open.
Venue: The Manor Resort
Dates: 16/Jan - 18/Jan: 2 nights.
When booking, please let them know you are with "Sam White's Group"
** PLEASE DON'T BOOK YET... Just watch this space for further announcements! **
The Resort & the activities
The venue offers a range of activities that include outdoor sports (golf, crazy golf etc), indoor sports (including all racquet sports - Pickleball is fabulous fun!), craft classes (all classes are free - you only pay for the materials), yoga/zumba/pilates, spa/sauna/swimming pool and even massage & facials (extra charges obvs!).
All food is included (although lunch on the day of arrival and departure is not included but can be paid for on the day, if you wish to partake).
Activity Costs
All activities are free and open to everyone, of all abilities, so it is a great way of trying out new activities, be it sports, leisure or arts & crafts (we tried resin art, mosaic class, glass fusion, macramé, felting etc last time). The racquet sports require a fully refundable deposit (£10, I think) for the loan of equipment. There also group activities like curling (a barrel of laughs!) and roller disco (try at your own risk!). The only thing to note is that activities/courts need to be booked as they fill up quickly. I'll explain how the booking system works closer to the time.
Are you ready to blow away the January Blues?
So if you're interested in a fun weekend away with a bunch of Scramblers, please add yourself to the Waiting list. People are welcome join in with group stuff or do their own thing - it is all ok. I'm not looking to baby-sit anyone. As before, I will create a WhatsApp group closer to the time to facilitate communications, so kindly let me have your mobile number closer to the time.
Any questions, please let me know.19 attendees

Tetbury loop charity walk 7 mile, flattish terrain. Pre pay for a place
Tetbury Old Station Car Park, Gumstool Hill, Tetbury, GB**Plenty of spaces available - just join the waitlist then pay the fee and your place will be confirmed**
Join us for a fabulous walk taking in some of The Palladian Way and a section of Monarch's way.
Starting in Tetbury heading south to pretty Shipton Moyne through some classic parkland and undulating countryside. Most of the walk is in the grounds of the historic Estcourt Estate.
Beautiful rivers and mainly across fields and grassy paths. There is one small road section and there could be mud. The route is very flat, apart a descent and climb to cross a stream, and one undulating section.
There’s a brief pub stop at three miles for those who fancy a hot drink or toilet break.
Well-behaved owners and dogs welcome. But be warned we lost count of the styles after 10 and some are very high, so it is not suitable for large dogs.
We will be finishing and refuelling at the Tetbury goods shed for tea, coffee, cake etc for those who wish to join us.
