Seacoast Friday Night Drinks and Activities

Hi all.

We’re doing two days in a row however I wanted to take advantage of catching Down By Ten in Portsmouth (who ripped it up at the Hampton Seafood Festival). They play GREAT hi energy danceable rock 70’s to 00’s. They’ll be playing the Thirsty Moose downtown, not far from one of my favorite spots: Kilwin’s. Their toasted coconut ice cream is off the charts but let that go. :).

There is on street parking in the surrounding streets but I think your best bet is the Portsmouth City lot which is about a 2-3 minute walk.

I think the band goes on at 9, I’m working on further details. Will update more shortly.

Hi all, we’re going to try a Sunday afternoon event to see Ellen (lead singer of Joppa Flatts) play an acoustic set with her friends Glen and Eric. The bar has an excellent menu: fresh seafood, American comfort food and salad bar. It also doubles as a sports bar on game day. (Pats and Jets play at 1) so you’re welcome to come a little early to enjoy the game. I’ll have my game day red Drake Maye jersey on.

Ellen has this posted in her own meetup and said feel free to bring your friends… should be a fun Sunday afternoon.

Hi all, we’re going to spend Halloween Night with the always lively Joppa Flatts at the Crescent Yacht Club in Haverhill. The Crescent YC is right on the River and a quick spin down 495. This event has a $10 cover and this came from Ellen from Joppa Flatts: they will start at 7:30 and she recommends you arrive at 6-6:15 ish because this event is very popular and typically sells out. It’s a Saturday night so hopefully not an issue for most. FYI. With it being a Halloween party most people will have costumes. There are free light appetizers.

I’ll post more details as it gets closer but I wanted to stress, get there early. :). This is cross posted with Ellen’s and David B’s meetup group so there should be a good amount of meetups folks. If you haven’t been, The Crescent Yacht Club is more along the lines of a typical New England K of C function hall. It’s in the Bradford historic area of town (nice residential area along the river) the lot is small but there is plenty of nearby street parking.

Lastly: just to remind people Halloween is a wild fun night but please drink responsibly.

Hi all, Save the date: There is a holiday drone show at the Secret Garden at The Brook Casino in Seabrook. It’s a Saturday night so it should be a fun time. Afterwards, follow me to the casino and I’ll show you how to lose $100 in a mere 13 minutes ;). Actually… I wouldn’t mind checking out the Kowloon sister restaurant called 9 Dragons but we’ll play it by ear.
