What we’re about
This is a group for women "of a certain age" in tech who want to connect with others who share a depth of experience. We are women who bring knowledge, resilience, and insight to an industry that often celebrates youth over wisdom.
The meet ups are a combination of socializing/networking, speakers/workshops, and sharing our stories/offering support.
The group is open to women in the tech industry regardless of specific role - developer, product manager, marketer, designer, etc.
Perhaps:
- You feel the effects of being a more mature woman in a young world
- You believe you have valuable experience to share but your co-workers don't always seem open to hearing your views
- You're worried about your age for your next job search (just how much of your resume should you delete?)
- You're feeling like your skills may be out of date
- You're concerned about revealing your age. You don't want to tell people the ages of your children. You feel like you MUST color your hair, visit the aesthetician, and/or some other activity to physically appear more youthful
You may be questioning if these feelings are just your own internal insecurities. And on top of what's happening at work, you may be feeling society's general biases against older women.
Whether you’re thriving in a leadership role, exploring what’s next, or simply looking for a community of peers who get it, this group is for you.
What to share your expertise?
We're always looking for speakers. Perhaps you have a skill you'd like to share or you'd be interested in leading the group in a discussion about a topic dear to your heart.
Our meetings are primarily virtual with an in person event once or twice/year in the San Francisco Bay Area.

•OnlineSF Mature Women in Tech - Navigate Your Career With Resilience and Wellbeing
OnlineWith the holidays at hand, we thought that focusing on wellbeing and self care would be an ideal topic for our November meetup.
This interactive workshop is designed for mid- to late-career women (note that all are welcome and will benefit) in technology who want to navigate the unique pressures of sustained tech careers with resilience and wellbeing. Through evidence-informed insights, participants will explore the physiological, cognitive, and systemic sources of stress, while engaging in private reflective exercises and gentle somatic practices to downshift and reset. The session emphasizes validation, acknowledging the lived experiences of women in tech, and offers practical strategies to integrate mindfulness, micro-breaks, and self-compassion into daily routines. Attendees will leave with a personalized framework to support ongoing stress reduction, career sustainability, and overall wellbeing.
