Welcome to the Side Quest Society! We are a diverse group of folks in our 40s (and some in the 50s!) who love to dine out, have fun, and check out events around town. Join us for breakfast outings, local theater performances, game nights, and cultural events. Whether you're a foodie, a theater lover, or just looking to meet new friends, this group is the perfect place for you. Come join us for exciting activities, good food, and great conversations!

## Side Quest Society — Community Bylaws

### 1. Purpose of the Group

Side Quest Society exists to create low-pressure, welcoming social experiences—restaurants, movies, museums, cultural events, and other fun “side quests” around the city. Our goal is connection, curiosity, and good company.

### 2. Membership Expectations

Members are expected to:

• Treat others with respect and kindness
• Be inclusive and welcoming
• Participate in good faith (RSVP accurately and communicate changes)
• Follow venue rules and local laws during events
• This is not a dating group. However, a connection can occur organically, and is acceptable if both parties mutually agree.

Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior will result in removal.

### 3. RSVPs & Attendance

RSVPs help organizers plan and respect venues.

• Members should keep their RSVP status accurate.
• If you can no longer attend an event, please update your RSVP at least 24 hours before the event whenever possible.
• Failure to update your RSVP within 24 hours for two events may result in removal from the group.
• Inactive members may be removed.

This policy is not punitive—life happens. Communication is always appreciated.

Repeated no-shows without communication impact hosts and other members. The organizers reserve the right to remove members who consistently RSVP “Yes” and do not attend without notice.

### 4. Payment and Prepaid Events

Some Side Quest Society events require prepayment (e.g., tickets, reservations, group bookings).

• Members must follow all payment instructions listed in the event.
• Any applicable fees (including credit card processing fees) are the responsibility of the attendee.
• Failure to pay on time, partial payment, or ignoring payment instructions may result in removal from the group.
• Prepaid events are generally non-refundable unless otherwise stated.

### 5. Event Conduct

• Arrive on time or communicate delays when possible
• Be respectful of hosts, staff, and fellow members
• Alcohol consumption (when applicable) should be responsible and never required

### 6. Organizer Discretion

Side Quest Society organizers reserve the right to:

• Limit event attendance
• Adjust or cancel events
• Remove members who do not follow group guidelines or negatively impact the community

### 7. Changes to Bylaws

These guidelines may evolve as the group grows. Updates will be shared with members when changes are made.
