Welcome to the Silver Gelatin Social and Weekly Shooters. This is a group for anyone who enjoys the process of film photography, whether you are scanning your own negatives at home, dropping off rolls at the lab, or spending your evenings in the darkroom. We started this group to get film photographers out from behind their screens and into the field, sharing tips, troubleshooting gear, and simply enjoying the slower pace of shooting analog.
Each week, we pick a different part of the city or a specific theme to explore with our cameras. There is no pressure to be an expert or own top-tier equipment; the goal is just to connect with others who appreciate the look and feel of film. We spend a few hours shooting together and usually wrap up at a nearby cafe to talk about what we captured. If you have been looking for a reason to load up another roll, come join us for a walk.
