What we’re about
A meeting of German-language speakers and learners in the SLC area open to all levels of proficiency and fluency. We will try to meet regularly, roughly every two weeks, in the Downtown, University, and Sugar House areas. I would like to keep the meetings informal, but with a focus on learning and improving everyone's speaking abilities and comfort level. Speaking, however, will not be required. If you want to show up and listen in, you're welcome, too. Fluent and native speakers are especially welcome to attend.

Chatting and Verabschiedungen at Woodbine Food Hall
Woodbine Food Hall, 545 West 700 S, Salt Lake City, UT, USHallo!
Sorry for the late notice. I was checking on a few spots for this week's meeting, but couldn't find a location that could accommodate a group without reservations, and Thursday evenings were not available.
Woodbine Food Hall seems to work well for people to come and go at any time, and we can usually fit everyone at a single table. So please feel free to stop by for as long as you would like.
As some of you may know, our regular German-native group member, Hendrik, is leaving Utah this week and making his way back to Deutschland through California and Hawaii 🌴. Stop by and say „Tschüß!“ if you can.
I am not sure if I will be able to schedule another meeting this year. I usually put the calendar on pause from Thanksgiving through the end of January, while everyone is busy with holidays and winter weather. If an evening opens up, I'm happy to get one on the agenda in December or January.
To get to Woodbine: If you're driving on I-15. Take the 600 South exit, then turn right at the first intersection (400 West), then right again at the next intersection (700 South), and it will be on your left in about 1 and 1/2 blocks. Parking is free and usually abundant in the area after 5:00.
Anyone with any level of fluency is welcome to attend. There is no agenda or start time, so arrive whenever you can. Guests are also welcome. It's open to anyone, but speaking in German as much as possible is encouraged. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me or post a comment below.
