Smart Bitches Book Club - Memphis Chapter

We're a women-only book club that meets once a month for good books, good conversation, and even better company. Whether you're a voracious reader or just getting back into it, pull up a chair. We'd love to have you!

When we meet
One Saturday a month, from 11:30 to about 1:30.

Where we meet
Usually at a casual restaurant, so you can come as you are, grab a bite, and settle in for a good chat.

What we read
We love variety! Our picks span everything from edge-of-your-seat thrillers to fantasy worlds to swoony romances. There's something for every reader, and you might just discover a new favorite genre.

Reading made easy
We do our very best to choose books that are available on Libby, so you can borrow them from your local library without spending a dime.

Membership

• Please add a photo of yourself to your profile so we know who to look for at events. It makes meeting new faces so much easier!
• Dues are just $2 a year. That helps cover our $150 Meetup fee.
• We ask that you join us for at least one meetup each year. We'd love to see you!

Got ideas? Share them!
Suggestions for meetup locations, books, and social activities are always welcome and truly appreciated. Send them to Marlena. And if you'd like to host a meetup, tell her that too!

A few housekeeping items

• Headcount: We cap meetups at 12 people. Based on past attendance, that keeps things cozy and makes it much easier to find venues that fit us. An accurate headcount helps organizers and members plan, too.
• Can't make it? Totally understandable, life happens! Just change your RSVP to "no," leave a note in the comments, or message Marlena. Members who don't take any action will be marked as no-shows.

Removal from the group
To keep the group active and welcoming for everyone, members will be removed for:

• Three no-shows
• Not attending a meetup within a year
• Spamming or harassing other members (this results in immediate removal)

We can't wait to meet you. Happy reading! 💛
