About us
This group makes it easy to meet new people in Bristol through low-pressure, activity-based gatherings. If you are looking for casual social events, Bristol is full of options, but we focus on small and large group activities specifically designed to help you make friends Bristol style.
### Why Our Members Join Us
What Your Weekends Will Look Like
We curate a massive variety of low-pressure, premium hosted experiences across Bristol. By joining, you get instant access to our dedicated activity sub-communities:
Daytime, Outdoors & Water Sports: Scenic nature walks, city strolls, summer barbecues, and active weekend adventures on the water like canoeing, kayaking, and paddleboarding.
Themed Socials & Game Nights: Immersive interactive murder mystery nights, massive pub quiz tournaments, and retro sports days.
Casual Nightlife & Big Pub Socials: High-energy big pub socials, live music nights, craft beer meetups, and dedicated comedy nights in Stokes Croft.
Creative, Sober & Cafe Culture: Relaxed coffee shop meetups, board game cafe nights, pottery or craft workshops, and casual book clubs for a slower-paced vibe.
Food & Drink: Weekend brunches, Sunday roast dinners, wine tasting, and local food market gatherings.
Safe, Dedicated Spaces: Inclusive LGBTQ+ community socials and female-focused "girls-only" groups for low-pressure friend-making, nightlife, and comedy outings.
Most of our community members join because they have had enough of staying in at the weekend or waiting to see which friend is available. You might be new to Bristol, or simply found yourself with a quiet calendar.
We focus on helping you find a few regular faces, prioritizing real connections and trying new things, so you end up with someone to message on a normal day. We organise hosted activities all across the city from casual drinks to outdoor adventures.
### Going Alone?
Most people come on their own the first time. Walking into a venue by yourself can feel difficult, but you won't be the only one.
- There is always an official host at every single event to welcome you.
- You never have to worry about awkwardly looking around for a big group of strangers.
- Our host meets you at the door, introduces you to the others, and makes sure you are included right away.
### Our Community Rules
- Strictly Platonic: This is a safe space to make genuine friends, not a dating or singles group.
- Member Privacy: Please do not message other members digitally unless you have met them at an event in person first.
- No Drama: We want this to be a space where you can fully be yourself; we tolerate zero drama or disrespect.
- Media Consent: We take photos and videos at our events for our social media accounts. Please let your host know upon arrival if you prefer not to be filmed.
### How to Join
To join our community WhatsApp group, simply send a direct message to the organizer. We run a mix of free socials and ticketed events, which allows us to keep running things sustainably and funding high-quality infrastructure for the group.
