What we’re about
Software testers, we're a hungry people. Constantly searching for new things to learn and never satisfied with the status quo. We seek out new information and new people to learn from.
"So yes, I sometimes feel as if I'm stuck on an island. But it has been an incredible ride already!"
This is a snippet from a conversation I had with a tester from Ghent I met recently.
And frankly, I often feel the same way. Many testers are scattered around many different companies, different projects, different teams.
We're often the only tester in a software development team.
But there's so much to learn from our peers...
That's what this meetup is for: Getting to know new testers and learn from each other.
We focus on a homely atmosphere, where learning is central.
The meetup will combine talks and discussions together with a test lab, where you can test in teams.

## Details
Hello, fellow testers!
And we're back in Ghent after our summer hiatus! You'll be welcome at 18h and we'll begin our meetup at 19h.
Program:
18:00 - 19:00: Food & Networking
19:00 - 20:00:
Talk 1: Testing with Ephemeral Tenants by Stijn De Pauw
To reliably test our multi-tenant systems, we spin up fresh, isolated environments —ephemeral tenants— with preloaded data. This lets us run reproducible tests in clean, realistic setups, without polluting shared resources. it’s fast, safe, and scales with our workflows.Talk 2: Automated Quality Assurance by Jacob Demuynck & Hanne Asselman
As AI adoption accelerates across industries, many companies face the same challenge: How do we know when our AI models make mistakes, at scale and in real time? In this talk, we introduce our approach to automated quality assurance (AQA), designed to answer exactly that question. We present a collection of QAgents, specialized evaluation agents, and a dedicated microservice that continuously monitors and quantifies mistakes made by our models in production. This AQA framework enables us to:
Automatically detect regressions and unexpected behavior.
Measure and track quality metrics over time for different AI models.
Gain targeted insights into which models or components require improvement.
Close the feedback loop between model predictions and real-world correctness.
By proactively surfacing quality issues, our AQA system ensures we stay on top of our models’ performance, paving the way for safer, more reliable AI in enterprise settings.20:00 - 21:00: Open Space
As always we value inclusiveness and learning, so everyone is welcome to attend (and to bring colleagues).
Have something to share, don't hesitate to speak up. We love nothing more than to hear your experiences and share ours.
This time round we'll be hosted by TechWolf. They are located at Overzet 14A, 9000 Gent. As always, food and drinks will be provided for which we are grateful.
