Let's help Kelvin celebrate his birthday by participating in his annual spades tournament. Hello everyone! I would like to thank everyone that will be able to make my 9th Annual Spades ♠️ birthday tournament in advance. Rules to come. We are now full. Thanks to all that have RSVP. $10 fee can be paid at the door. (everyone) Whether Playing in Tournament or at the just for fun table EXCEPT last year Winners Joy/Fee they do not pay to enter as they are going for two years in a row champs!!

Rules will be read at 7:30pm, tournament begins immediately after no more questions about the rules:
The host will determine any disagreement or settle any issues.

Double elimination. Loose two games you are out. We are starting on time
Get set twice in a game you automatically loose
Bid every hand. If you bid 10 books a pound and make it you get 200 points. If you don't minus 100
5/5 or 6/4 add up the points or one team go up one in order to play
No sign language, body movements, hints to let your partner know what you have or what to play, no writing down anything during the game (nothing). Let all cards hit the table before scooping the book up.
Keep all books in order. One person collect the books.
After the bid is written either team can go up ONE only
Board is 4
Regular deal no cross dealing. Regular one cut. No tapping the deck, cut the cards
Renig: call the host over. Explain what happened, pick the right book if you do collect 3 books. If you select the wrong book the other team gets 3 books
Any card you throw out sticks...pay attention. If you threw out the wrong suit by mistake, catch it before the play begins definitely before the book is scooped up. Call the host over for determination of consequences or not. Or just pay attention
