Creative Community Night (Everett)

This event is open to all, whether or not you consider yourself creative. We are building a diverse, supportive community in the Everett area and want to be your "third space" and community.
Feel free to bring a project, something to brainstorm with our crew, a board game, or just come as you are. Collage materials will be available for free, and Artisans has a great selection of project supplies if you want to pick up something else to work on.

Leatherworking: Make Your Own Historical Turn Shoes

Join guest instructor Pete Lazz to create your very own medieval turn shoes! With more than 30 years of experience, Pete owns Vidar Leatherworks, an esteemed local business that brings handcrafted and high-quality leather goods to markets and faires.
This full-day workshop is your chance to craft your own historical footwear by hand, under expert guidance. Your day making shoes will consist of 8-hours guided worktime, with x2 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS CLASS:

You must be 18+ years of age and capable of operating tools.

Skills: Because of the special equipment and materials, you MUST have some leather working experience OR extensive garment sewing experience.

Wear shoes that are easily removed, since you’ll need access to your feet!

Part of patterning your shoes will involve stepping onto a raised platform.
NOTE: You will be using tools and working with your hands in a shop environment. Choose clothing that you can move in and won’t mind getting a little messy, dress in layers for comfort, and be ready to tie back long hair. You must follow all instructions regarding safety and the use of equipment that belongs to Spark Creatives and/or your instructor.

This course will include a tour of our printing station, cover initial need-to-knows, and walk you through step by step to make your first print. This class is perfect for the adventurous beginner ready to get started!
This class is open to anyone interested in 3D printing.
Spark Creatives members can use this class as an option for clearance to use our 3D printing equipment.
