About us
A Heart-Centered Space.
Changing the World With Love Since 2008!
The Spiritual Growth and Community Center (SGCC) is the outreach program arm of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in the Assabet Valley, located in Stow, MA. Founded at the Unitarian Church of Marlboro and Hudson (UCMH) in 2008, the SGCC moved to its new home in Stow, following UCMH’s merger with the First Parish Church of Stow and Acton in 2026.
For over seventeen years, the SGCC has been living its mission, providing the Assabet Valley region with high-quality, inspirational programs, classes, and events to awaken curiosity, joy, compassion, and personal growth for the mind, body, and spirit.

Community Energy Healing Circle and Meditation
First Parish Church of Stow and Acton, 353 Great Rd, Stow, MA, USJoin us for a community healing event at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in the Assabet Valley in Stow, MA on the second Friday of each month.
Reiki is a universal energy force that can ease the symptoms of a wide variety of emotional and physical ailments and dis-ease. The Spiritual Growth and Community Center (SGCC) of UUCAV invites you to join us as we create a Reiki Energy Healing Circle and receive healing energy from UUCAV volunteers. This event is an opportunity to find stillness, release stress, and connect with yourself and your community.
We will start the evening with introductions and a brief overview of Reiki and meditation. From there, we will be led in a guided group meditation. After the meditation, participants can opt for hands-on Reiki from our group of Reiki-attuned volunteers. If you would like to lie down for Reiki, please bring a mat, blankets, and/or pillows to stay as comfortable as possible. Afterward, we will reconvene over snacks to share our thoughts and experiences.
No experience is necessary. Snacks provided! All are welcome to join. Suggested donation is $10.
Parking is available on-site.
